Be an Informed Voter

There are several upcoming opportunities to hear from candidates and learn about the issues:

  • The Naples Daily News and Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce will hold a School Board Candidate Debate at 3:30 p.m. today, Thursday, October 2nd at the Naples Daily News Building, 1100 Immokalee Rd, Naples. Questions can be submitted online here.
  • The East Naples – Golden Gate Fire Control and Rescue Districts will hold a Town Hall Meeting to provide information about the proposed merger between the two Districts on Tuesday, October 7th at 7:00 p.m. at South Regional Library, 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway, Naples.
  • The Southwest Florida Citizens Alliance is hosting a Lively Debate for the Collier School Board on October 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the River Park Community Center, 301 11th St. N., Naples. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The debate will be moderated by Jared Grifoni of Resistance Radio, and Rick Borman of the Rick Borman Show.
  • The League of Women Voters of Collier County is sponsoring a Ballot Forum on October 14th at 5:00 p.m. at the North Naples Church, at 6000 Goodlette Road. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the forum is expected to conclude by 6:45. Experts have been recruited to present pro and con positions on the three proposed Constitutional Amendments and on the fire districts merger referenda. Jeff Lytle, recently retired from the Naples Daily News, will moderate. Other event sponsors are Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, Collier Citizens Council, Greater Naples Leadership, North Naples Church and the Naples Daily News.
  • The North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District will host at Community Meeting to discuss the proposed merger with the Big Corkscrew Island Fire Control and Rescue District at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15th at Bonita Shores Club, 315 West Avenue, Bonita Springs.
  • The North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District will host at Community Meeting to discuss the proposed merger with the Big Corkscrew Island Fire Control and Rescue District at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22nd at Big Corkscrew Island Admin Bldg. at Station #10, 13250 Immokalee Road, Naples.
  • The Naples Press Club is hosting a School Board Candidates Q&A on October 23rd at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Naples. Non-member guests must purchase tickets online. Go to Eventbrite.com and search for “Naples Press Club.”
  • The North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District will host at Community Meeting to discuss the proposed merger with the Big Corkscrew Island Fire Control and Rescue District at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29nd at St. John the Evangelist Church, 625 111th Avenue, Naples.
