First — the Board of Collier County Commissioners will hold an emergency special meeting to discuss COVID-19 and declaration of a local state of emergency Monday at 2 PM in County Commission chambers.

The meeting will be broadcast live with closed captioning on Collier Television channel 97/98 and via live streaming at colliercountyfl.gov/ctv and social media at facebook.com/colliergov.
Also — yesterday, Governor Ron DeSantis activated the state’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to Level 1, which requires all functions of state government to coordinate emergency response to the coronavirus through the EOC.
