Commissioners adopted the rolled-back rate for the countywide General and Water Pollution Control Funds, the Unincorporated Area General Fund, and Conservation Collier. The vote was 4 to 1.

As of 9:13 PM on Election Day, with a Collier County voter turnout of 29.7%, the more conservative local candidates consistently won in the closed Republican primaries.
Reg Buxton, Chris Hall, Gerald Lefebvre, and Nancy Lewis are running for the Collier Board of County Commissioners from District 2. Only registered Republicans in District 2 may vote in this election. The winner will face Democrat Bebe Kanter in November.
